Things I did this weekend, by Neil Crosby (aged 28 and a third):

  • Finished Assassin’s Creed II

Lots of fun. Didn’t feel as fluid as the first one, but it had a much more satisfying ending that left me hankering for the third one.

  • Watched series 3 of Gavin & Stacey

I’ll tell you no lie, I thought this final season was a bit poor.

  • Watched Proof of Life

Meh. Caruso plays the same character he does everywhere. No sunglasses in this one though. Meg Ryan “smokes” throughout, but only once in the entire film do we see her cigarette touch her lips. We never see her inhale or exhale.

  • Watched The Hangover

Watchable, but overall “meh”. Wouldn’t bother with again.

  • Hid underneath 25 tog of duvet on the sofa

Our heating was on the blink, so instead of freezing our asses off we hid underneath two big thick duvets and waited for the night so we could do the same in bed. Thankfully now we seem to have gas again. Yay.

  • Tried making a mojito using muscavado sugar

Bad mistake; don’t ever do this. The taste of the muscavado is overpowering.

  • Used my new Kenwood Chef for the first time, to make Gingerbread

Yays! Much nicer than mixing by hand (I’d found that by hand I was ending up with bits of unmixed flour left in the mix because I’m lazy).

Overall, a very lazy weekend. I left the house a grand total of once, and that was to buy a basket of groceries. A sucessful weekend, I think.
